2019 GYEONGGI FOREIGN-INVESTED COMPANY DAY HELD

  AND THE OTHER PERSONS CONCERNED ATTENDED AN EVENT OF THE COMPANY DAY

An event of 2019 Gyeonggi foreign-invested company day was held at Suwon Ramada Plaza Hotel on December,5.

This event, in which the executives of foreign-invested companies and the relevant organizations interested gather together to promote exchange and cooperation, has been held for 13 years since 2007.

About 190 guests including Lee Whasoon, 2nd vice-governor of Administration of Gyeonggi Local Government, Cho Kwangjoo, chairman of Economic and labor Commission of Gyeonggi-provincial Assembly, Lee Byeongrak, president of GAFIC, executive staff of domestic and foreign companies, and the relevant organizations concerned attended this event hosted by the Gyeonggi Local Government and organized by GSFIC. 2019 event of the foreign company day was a meaningful time to look back and share together the foreign companies' various CSR activities of the past five years to bring hope, love and dreams to the community through video and photo exhibition shown in the lobby.

In particular, TDK Korea, Mold Service Korea, SeojinCam, Somfy and IMI Critical Engineering Korea, that have continuously contributed to the communities, were selected as excellent companies for CSR activities and won the governor's appreciation plaque. Besides, Gyeonggi governor's official commendation was awarded to five social benefactors of the foreign-invested companies, who have contributed to the revitalization of the local economy and attraction of foreign investment due to the policy of new employment.

And, moreover, there was a time to introduce Airliquide Korea's special social contribution cases that has entered into agreement with two high schools in Gyeonggi -province and conducted safety education on gas and chemical substance.

Airliquide Korea, which has given students safety training on chemicals to raise their awareness of safety rules, received great applause from the attending guests for a two-bird-one-stone solution to secure future talents in advance through practical training.

Also, Park Jonghoon, senior economist of SC Jaeil Bank, was invited to lecture on the topic of "Global Economy and Financial Market in 2020" and to provide a variety of useful contents to enable the foreign-invested companies to respond proactively to the changing global markets.

Lee Whasoon, 2nd Vice-governor of Administration, said that we, Gyeonggi Local Government, will continue to support communication and administrative services to enable the foreign companies to stably manage their business activities in the future, mentioning the point that the generous efforts of the foreign businesses have helped revitalize the Gyeonggi regional economy even in difficult conditions such as Japan's export restrictions.
