The foreign-invested companies' joint Kimchi-making service for winter use!

The staff of GFCRC, Balluff Korea, Ardentec Korea, Amadeus Korea, Praxair Korea, and Hikvision Korea did, in November, volunteer work for making Kimchi for the winter at the welfare facility for the disabled, Badauibyeol.

The companies hoping to volunteer for this joint service planned by GFCRC responded to an invitation in advance because of the characteristics of Kimchi-making that requires a lot of hands, and so 40 executives and employees from 6 companies including GFCRC participated in this public service.

Despite the cold weather before freezing, the volunteers gathered at the outdoor parking lot of the welfare facility from early morning were busy preparing kimchi ingredients with the coats undressed.

The participants with sanitary hats and masks for thorough cleanliness were devoted to every process with the intention of making Kimch just for me.

The volunteers stood for hours and mixed stuffings for pickled white cabbage and vegetables. Although carrying pickled Chinese white cabbage and seasoned materials was physically hard, they did their best to the end to make Kimchi made of 1,200 heads of cabbage for the handicapped people looking through the window and forward to tasty and plain dish.

An executive who joined the service, this day, said that making Kimchi was physically laborous, but we hope our friends with disabilities will enjoy Kimchi which we made with all our heart.

The Badauibyeol concerned said that we thank the volunteers from the bottom of our heart for physically hard public service drenched with sweat, despite the sudden drop in temperature, and also we will use donated goods and groceries usefully.

52 residents in the welfare facilities, people with disabilities in vocational rehabilitation centers and Group Home recipients residing at home get to enjoy delicious Kimchi, thanks to the volunteers' sincere community service.

And the participants, who felt great reward for their physically laborous volunteer work, decided to continue their CSR activities.

It is expected that the foreign-invested companies' CSR activities, which have strived to deliver love to every corner of the community, will bring the light of hope and devotion to more places.
