CSR GOOD COMPANY REPORT NO.54 TEK Korea's environmental cleanup activities!

GFCRC(Gyeonggi Foreign-invested Corporate Responsibility Center) matches the businesses places that need a helping hand in the community and also provides a variety of activities for CSR.

TEK Korea's environmental cleanup activities!

22 employees of TEK Korea, on the eighth of December, performed an environmental cleanup activity in the area near the company.

TEK Korea, a foreign investment company, which has engaged in various revenue-generating activities such as engineering service, and sale of goods and parts, initiated service activities for the environmental cleanup with the intention of starting with the small things that others ignore while searching for something to reward the community.

This volunteer activity is the second after last year-orphanage-environmental cleanup performed with the belief that trivial activities can make a big difference in the community like butterfly effect that its wings cause a blast.

Even if the weather started getting colder, the volunteers of TEK Korea swept away fallen leaves and collected garbage all over area for more than two hours. They cleaned up to the least visible to create a pretty environment because of the streets where everyone can pass by, but the spaces we use together.

An employee, who joined the service for the second year, expressed his opinion as follows: when I first heard about volunteering, it was a bother and hate to leave my work aside and to take time to serve, but I was greatly rewarded by the happy appearance of those who walked the clean streets. So I did not hesitate to apply for this volunteer activity. And it was a happy time to me that even a small effort could bring joy to many people. Thanks to the careful and passionate volunteer work of TEK Korea's employees, the local residents get to be able to walk the streets with joy.

Ahn Youngbok, CEO of TEK Korea, said that I think CSR activity is basically companies' social responsibility regardless of the corporate business performance, and we will continue to strive to contribute to the community through ongoing social contribution activities. Is expected the day when TEK Korea's effort, which wants to create a wind of change through small but full of community service, will pay off.
