The Gyeonggi Local Government permits the fusion compound industry through a fact-finding survey on foreign-invested companies’ lease complexes.

• The Gyeonggi Local Government conducted a survey on 99 companies, from January to February, in 8 lease complexes for foreign-invested companies.
  ※7.84 trillion Won of sales in 2018 and 9632 employees
• According to the analysis results by industry, the sales of semiconductors, chemicals, and metals increased, while the ones of display and automobiles have gradually decreased.
• The Gyeonggi Local Government planned to positively support the change to the fusion compound industry tailored to the 4th Industrial Revolution era and installation of complex areas ,and to diversify the occupation sector by actively attracting new-growth companies such as semiconductor-rear industry, bio, and etc.

The priority negotiator of Whaseong International Theme Park business is selected.

• The Shinsegae Properties Consortium was selected as the preferred bidder of Whaseong International Theme Park business.
• 1.2 million Pyeong of Whaseong International Theme park rather than Shanghai Disneyland and Osaka Universal Studios will be the largest in Asia.
• The Whaseong International theme Park, in which 15.000 people are expected to be employed, will make Korea’s attractions richer and be a popular destination for the foreigners.

The localization support of components for win-win collaboration between SMEs and global companies.

• The localization project of components, which the Gyeonggi Local Government has promoted since 2016, supporting the localizing cost of semiconductor, and the 4th industry-related technology got to lead to investment attraction as a result.
  • (2016) company D: : the attraction of investment of 2.1 billion Won from US company, L. 2018 sales of 30.5 billion Won and 50 new employees.
  • (2017) company S : ne-person-start-up business moving into the self-building.
    2018 sales of 700 million Won and 3 new employees.
  • (2018) company A : in consultation with a foreign company to attract investment with developed products according to the business support.
• The Gyeonggi Local Government planned to support a total of 28 companies. Specially, the support for the 4th industrial sector such as AI, autonomous driving, sensor, IOT, and etc. is expanded.
• Together, for the win-win collaboration between SMEs, which has excellent technology, and global companies, the domestic and overseas corporate exchange event comes to be promoted.
