  • In the age of FTA between Korea and England, the Gyeonggi Local Government held an event to introduce how to use the support systems of the UK government, a leading country of European Fourth Industrial Revolution and to promote the business cooperation opportunities for the start-ups and SMEs in Gyeonggi-province which want to enter European markets.
  • The Gyeonggi Local Government held an information and explanatory session about "UK Tech Rocketship Awards" at the Startup Campus located at Pangyo in Seongnam-city in September.
  • About 100 guests attended the event-Choi Gyedong, economic planning officer of the Gyeonggi Local Government, Kim Gijoon, director of Gyeonggi Economic Science Promotion Agency, Alpesh Patel, business deal maker of Bureau of British International Trade, Richard Koizumi, secretary of Investment for the British Embassy in Korea, and Gyeonggi-provincial entrepreneurs looking to take advantage of the UK Business Advancement Program.

  • The Gyeonggi Local Government is in the process of establishing " Technical Cooperation Center between the local government and Russia" with the goal of opening in late October within the Startup Education Center located in Erica Campus of Hanyang University.
  • To localize material parts and diversify import lines, the Gyeonggi Local Government plans to strengthen the capability of developing next-generation material parts for SMEs in Gyeonggi-province through securing and commercializing original technologies of Russia, a technological power, to provide new growth engines through commercialization project of innovative technologies, and to promote Russia's technology matching and business support.

  • As parts of countermeasures against Japan's export restrictions, The Gyeonggi Local Government increased " budget" for Parts-localizing Support Project through the compilation of the 3rd additional economic policy budget.
  • This increased budget is a total of 1.5 billion Won. And the amount within 100 million Won is to be paid to each of 15 companies additionally requested. The existing amount of support for each company was less than 45 million Won, but to improve the effectiveness of the support project, the amount of support will be adjusted upward and promoted.
  • The additional offer announcements can be found on the homepage of Gyeonggi local Government(www.gg.go.kr) and Gyeonggi Techno Park (www.gtp.or.kr) and the project period is from middle of October, 2019 to November,2020.
  • The parts-localizing project aims at strengthening the technological competitiveness of companies in Gyeonggi-province and securing international one by supporting "budget" required for the localization of key components and materials and by connecting to supply developed products to the global companies.
