  Region and to advance into HongKong market.

  • The Gyeonggi Local Government cooperated with the HongKong Trade Development Bureau which has an extensive investment and industry network to hold a briefing session for the investment attraction from the Greater China Region and entry into Hongkong market on June, 16th at Suwon Ramada Plaza.
  • The guests, who attended the briefing session, were invited potential investors in HongKong such as CEO of HongKong Value Partners Group, president of Southern Chamber of Commerce , branch head of HKTDC in Seoul, and etc., and the 150 companies interested in attracting capital and entering the market of the Greater China Region.
  • At this briefing session, the potential of the HongKong market to the companies concerned in Gyeonggi-province and the industries of interest such as IOT electronics, healthcare, biotech, and etc. to the investors from Hongkong were introduce in detail. Besides, a golden opportunity for the businesses in Gyeonggi-province to enter the overseas markets was given through one-on-one investment matching between Hongkong investors and the domestic companies concerned.

  • A global gas manufacturer, French Air Liquide, practiced training on chemical substance handling and safety for the specialized high schools in Gyeonggi-province and also passed exemplary corporate culture as an advanced foreign-invested enterprise.
  • This education was conducted, four times, for 150 students in the second and third grades of chemical engineering department of Samil and Asan Technical High Schools, and, in the second half, the company plans to carry out additional training to enhance safety consciousness in the manufacturing facility centering on the major departments such as electrical engineering, electronics, and etc..
  • Through this education, an opportunity to experience the technology and business management of “global foreign-invested company” was given to the students of specialized high schools, and, in addition, the employment network between the company and the students expanded through the company’s employment training.

  • On June,7th,2019, That’s Good and Yeoncheon County Government signed MOU on investment in a danish-style theme park to be created in Tyeoncheon. According to this agreement, the construction of theme park with a total cost of 80.7 billion Won is to start in 2020 and to be completed in 2021 on the site of 78.355㎡ around Okgye-Ri, Gunnam-Myeon, Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi-province.
  • The Danish-style Theme Park will include hotel, country houses, shops and stores in Danish style that seem to have moved a village of Denmark, eco-friendly nature playground, water park using subterranean water, and a place where people can see, enjoy, make and experience ,in person, natural products utilizing cultivated plants such as pumpkin, lavender, adlay, and etc.
  • It takes 20 minutes(about 12.5㎞) to Yeoncheon Theme Park from Taepoong observatory near DMZ and two hours(about 100㎞) from Seoul by car. And the park is rated as accessible to the metropolitan tourists. Due to this project, Yeoncheon County is expected to break out of its image as an existing military and border area and to be newly born as a County of happiness beyond vitality.
