Operation of Coronavirus Cleaning & Disinfection Services for Industrial Complexes Exclusive to Foreign-invested Companies to Limit the Spread of COVID-19!

• Gyeonggi Province, the Gyeonggi-do Support Center for Foreign-Invested Companies (hereinafter referred to as the GSFIC), and the Gyeonggi Province Foreign Investment Complex Management Center (The Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Corporation) have been providing foreign-invested companies in the province that are struggling with corporate activities with grievance counseling services and supporting for handling their difficulties.
• In particular, with the heightened sense of crisis arising from the outbreak of the coronavirus disease in 2019 (COVID-19), Gyeonggi Province, the GSFIC, and the Gyeonggi Urban Innovation Corporation have been working together to relieve the anxiety of foreign-invested companies and to prevent community spread of the coronavirus early. They operated the Coronavirus Cleaning and Disinfection Services for the eight Industrial Complexes Exclusive for Foreign-invested Companies. Such emergency measures taken in response to coronavirus were free of charge.

• The services have been provided twice with focuses on cleaning and disinfecting common areas by spraying disinfectant solutions into the air at the outskirts and entrances of the eight Industrial Complexes Exclusive for Foreign-invested Companies in Pyeongtaek City, Hwaseong City, and Paju City. Health officials wearing protective suits sprayed disinfectant in public hot spots such as bus stops, public facilities, and retail facilities frequently used by corporate employees. The officials also shared manuals for preventive practices and disinfection methods that can be implemented in-house.
• Meanwhile, the Gyeonggi Provincial government continues to strive to secure a revised supplementary budget (Investment Promotion Division, Gyeonggi Province) to support companies that have suffered direct or indirect damage due to COVID-19. As soon as the budget is secured, the provincial government will actively support foreign-invested companies in Gyeonggi Province to smoothly run their businesses.
